This guide will show you step by step instructions on how to enable cookies in Microsoft Edge browser.
1. Click on the “Settings” button.
Look for it in the top-right corner your Edge browser, often presented by three dots or lines.
A drop-down menu with a lot of available options will be displayed.
2. Click on the “Settings” option.
Look for it at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
The “Settings” menu will now expand and you will see “General settings”.
3. Click on the “Privacy & security” link.
The “Privacy & security” link will be displayed on the left-hand side.
The “Settings” menu will now display privacy and security related settings.
4. Enable cookies.
There are a few options in the Cookies drop-down box that you may choose from to tell your Edge browser how to handle and manage cookies.
A simple way to enable all cookies in Edge browser is by selecting a Don’t block cookies option. It enables websites to store cookies on your computer and makes it possible for you to browse the internet without experiencing issues with websites that require cookies.
Another option available to you is Block only third-party cookies. Turning on this setting will allow any website you visit directly to save cookies but prevent any third-party services and websites (typically advertisers) from being able to do the same. For example, if you visit forbes.com it will be able to store cookies on your computer but any third-party services serving ads on their website will not be able to store and manage cookies on your computer.
Once you are happy with your preferred cookie settings, they will take effect immediately. You can simply close the drop-down menu and resume browsing.
