This guide will show you step by step instructions on how to disable cookies in Microsoft Edge browser.
1. Click on the “Settings” button.
Look for it in the top-right corner your Edge browser, often presented by three dots or lines.
A drop-down menu with a lot of available options will be displayed.
2. Click on the “Settings” option.
Look for it at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
The “Settings” menu will now expand and you will see “General settings”.
3. Click on the “Privacy & security” link.
The “Privacy & security” link will be displayed on the left-hand side.
The “Settings” menu will now display privacy and security related settings.
4. Disable cookies.
There are a few options in the Cookies drop-down box that you may choose from to tell your Edge browser how to handle and manage cookies.
Since we want to disable cookies, simply select Block all cookies setting.
While disabling cookies will not eliminate advertisers and other servers from being able to track you, it will certainly make it more difficult and provide you with a bit more privacy.
Keep in mind that disabling cookies will require you to re-enter information that would otherwise normally be “remembered” by cookies (such as your login details or shopping cart items).
Once you are happy with your preferred cookie settings, they will take effect immediately. You can simply close the drop-down menu and resume browsing.
